Ending the Culture of Silence: Let’s Fight Against Rape

One of the most significant barriers in addressing rape is the culture of silence that surrounds it. Due to fear, shame, victim-blaming, and a lack of trust in the justice system, many survivors remain silent and do not report the crime. The JUC Foundation Uganda calls for an end to this culture of silence and urges survivors, witnesses, and communities to speak out against rape. It is only by breaking this silence that we can hold perpetrators accountable and create an environment of support and justice

One of the primary obstacles to girl child education is the financial burden faced by families. JUC Foundation Uganda works tirelessly to alleviate this burden by providing scholarships, school fees assistance, and educational supplies to economically disadvantaged girls. Understanding Female Genital Mutilation: FGM encompasses various procedures involving partial or total removal of the external female genitalia. These procedures are often carried out with no medical justification, but rather as a cultural tradition linked to notions of purity, marriageability, and social acceptance. However, FGM poses severe health risks and violates the fundamental human rights of girls and women.
